The weight loss program involves purchasing prepackaged Ideal Protein foods specifically formulated so they're low in fat and carbohydrates. One-on-one coaching is conducted through your healthcare provider.
Phase One- The Ideal Protein Weight Loss Method has four phases. During phase one, you consume three prepackages meals and one regular meal that you prepare yourself. The self-prepared meal must be low fat, low carb and comprised of fresh vegetables, lettuce and the protein of your choice. You remain in stage one until you reach 70 to 80 percent of your weight loss goal.
Phase Two- Phase two is to be followed for up to 14 days. In stage two, you will increase your caloric intake and get all the protein you need to keep your weight in balance. In stage two, you increase self-made meals and reduce the amount of prepackages meals you consume. You increase two two self-made meals and reduce to two prepackages meals. Then, you remain in stage two until you reach 100 percent of your weight loss goal.
Phase Three- Phase three is to be followed for 14 days. In stage three, you will gradually introduce carbohydrates and calories back into your diet. Phase three allows your body to enjoy dairy products, whole grains, fruits, and some fats back into your diet while your pancreas is able to produce the appropriate amount of insulin helping your body utilize all your fats and carbohydrates in the right away, not storing them as extra weight.
Phase Four- Phase four lasts for life. Once you reach stage four, the hard work is done and maintenance begins. You can maintain your results for a lifetime by making the right choices and choosing the right food combinations. Carbohydrates and fats should be separated at each meal except for breakfast. Make sure you read the nutritional facts on the foods you purchase. Avoid foods with a lot of saturated fat and trans fats. If you are going to allow yourself an indulgence, choose smaller portions.
