Dry Needling

What Is Dry Needling In Houma, LA?

Dry needling is a technique used for the treatment of neuromusculoskeletal pain, spasms, and inflammation. During the treatment fine needles are inserted into the skin and muscle, which creates tiny lesions in the soft tissue (skin, muscles, fascia, tendons and ligaments) and helps inflammation, contractions, trophic changes, adhesions, scarring, blockage or micro circulation and biomechanical imbalance. Dry needling stimulates self-healing, thereby shortening the course of pain.

Dry needling can be a useful complementary treatment at Haydel Chiropractic, although this modality is usually one part of the patient’s treatment plan. The combination of spinal manipulation, exercises and dry needling are typically utilized to restore normal function of the neuromusculoskeletal system.
